They are saved in a file in your configurations dir ending with .var. Is there a chance you may have deleted it? There may be a backup file in your dir ending with .var.bak.

Another posibility is that in your ini file under the [RS274NGC] section there is a setting that defines what the name of the .var file and it's location.

The INI file is correct and the var file is still there, although all numbers are zero, very strange.

Hi, after a crash the linuxvar file is emptied and the parameters of fixtures get lost, try to restore the backup copy of the file linuxvar file it's possible you can have them from it again.

Ok... does that include if the power goes out or if the computer power is turned of without closing linuxcnc first?

Yes mate, an abnormal termination of the program always involves the loss of some data. I live in an area where there are frequent surges of power that is why I connected my LinuxCNC PC to an UPS.
