I am using Debian Wheezy because that is the preferred distro for communicating with a Mesa 7i76e card which i have bought to interface with the stepper motor driver package i am buying for running LinuxCNC operations on my lathe.

Those are not 4 installations, that is a single install with 2 different kernels and 2 recovery modes for both kernels.
