Reversing Axis Directions was created by koth442
Hello everyone.
I recently got a basket case CNC machine dumped into my lap. One of the issues its having is the X and Y axes move in the wrong directions. Having searched the forum a bit I tried switching the sign on "OUTPUT_SCALE". This did change the direction, but the axis has severe runaway. It seems reasonable this is the result of feed forward in the controller.
LinuxCNC is giving me a following error. I'm looking into that currently.
I'm looking for suggestions on how to troubleshoot from here.
Thanks!

Change you tried changing the HAL pins to -NOT or inverse the signal on the direction of movement?

If it is a servo, just switching the output scale sign will cause a runaway. (as you found out.) You also have to change the sign of the encoder scale.
