How to Use Servo Spindle as 'C' axis

Yes, the "sel" pin or pins choose which input is active.

Is appropriate for choosing between two float values.

Perfect! Thanks!

Hello Simpson,

I have been following your thread with interest.
I'm also going to use a servo with step/dir control for both spindle speed and for position control (using live tooling).
I'm using the Chinese KRS AASD-30a servo amp with a 110SA-M06030 servo motor, parport and electronic gearing for encoder and control.

Have you got it working, and if so, could you please upload your HAL-config and INI-file?
There is not a lot of examples on this forum, and i feel i'm not ready to jump into the IRC channel for support, being i'm in the start phase of learning how HAL works.

Sorry to say that I have not worked on this yet. I just have zero spare time at this point.

I believe that I have collected enough info to get it done.

When I have time to work on it, I will post the results here.

Hello!
Have you any result since then?
I need something similar for Lathe Spindle. (for now, only a few positions)
