Machine is somehow offsetting ech pocet and profile was created by tuffduck33
Hello,
I running Linuxcnc with a Mesa 7i92m and Gecko G540. All has been working well until today when ran a few parts and noticed that the fist pocket was correct, the next pocket was a 2mm deep than it should have been and a profile cutout was 8mm lower on the y-axis. Any thoughts? Thanks

You may be losing steps
if something has changed, its a often mechanical issue, so I would check for loose coupling
or binding anywhere in the range of motion of the machine
If you are losing steps due to an electrical issue, the first thing I would try is increasing your step pulse lengths
Often people set these to the drives minimum values which almost always causes trouble eventually.
Unless it limits your maximum velocity, I would always use about 2x the drives minimum step pulse length.

Hi PCW,
I went through the mechanical and all was good. I increased step pulse lengths. Ran a few tests and all is working great. Thanks for the assistance, greatly appreciated.
