Stepconfig test screen was created by royKO1405
Helo Linux world I am a complete newby at cnc. I have built a 3 axis router and when I used the step config wizard to set the stepper motors up I found that when I pressed the arrow keys on the test screen my stepper motors went in the opposite direction to the arrow I was pressing. Is there something in the software to correct this or do I need to alter my wiring and if so do I need to change the order of the two pairs of wires on the stepper motors?
Any help would be greatly received.

On the stepconf page that you use to select the parallel port output pin assignments
there are little checkboxes that allow you to invert the signals, If you invert the direction pins
you will reverse the step motor direction.
Note that the arrows signify spindle motion so on a machine with a moving table, the table will move in
the opposite direction
