I have been going through the process of installing linuxcnc.org/linuxcnc-2.7-wheezy.iso on a USB, booting the system and installing it on to a computer. Linux installs fine on the computer but LinuxCNC is nowhere to be found. I was under the assumption that the ISO file I was using installs Linux and linuxCNC. Can't find any files or directories relating to linuxCNC. Was I mistaken in thinking that the ISO file installed Linux and Linuxcnc?

There should be a menu item.

What happens if you open a terminal and type: linuxcnc ?

It should install linuxcnc......why it hasn't ? Good question, have you tried reinstalling (I know probably not a lot of help, more like a Windows tech support suggestion ?

Can you run linuxcnc when booted live ?

Disconnect the internet before installing wheezy.
On strech you need the internet or it will not install.
