Hi
I'm making a new project with mesa 7i76e and 7i73.(stretch)
And I'm travelling a lot in trains, means lot of time.
Is there a way to start, test and change such an application on a laptop/vm without the real hw?
Can sim version handle that? I want to use unchanged app.

It's not trivial because the HAL pins will simply not exist without the hardware.
You could create a HAL component that creates all the same pins as the 7i76E + 7i73. It wouldn't be all that hard using halcompile.
(I would probably get a pin list and param list from the real hardware then paste it into Excel and add the extra .comp command format stuff round it in columns)

Nop
I just bought all cards as reserve. In the moment I just read the list but doing has moved to other activities.
But I'm with Andy. Just get a list of all of pins and make a comp.

Thats alright for the 7i76e but did you note the 7i73 adds another 74 pins?Nop

You should be able to run the hardware with a power bank.
Just make a small box where you can put the hardware in.
