mesa 7i47S as 3 axis stepper driver was created by mpvriens
Would like to us the mesa 7i47S in combination with 5i24 as being a 3 axis stepper driver with linear scale encoder feedback.
Not sure what .BIT file to flash, and looking for a example of config files, as Pncconf Wizard doesn't work on this

5i24_16_svst1_4_7i47s.bit is probably the correct bitfile
You can use the hm2_stepper.hal example file and just make a 5i24.ini file from the existing 5i23.ini file
(changing the cardname and deleting the firmware token in the config string)

have connected 3 heindenhain encoders:
P4 PIN FUNCTION DIR HH-Signal
1 RX0 TO 7I47S Ua1
2 /RX0 TO 7I47S /Ua1
3 GND FROM 7I47S GND
4 RX1 TO 7I47S Ua2
5 /RX1 TO 7I47S /Ua2
6 +5V FROM 7I47S Pwr
7 RX2 TO 7I47S Ua0 (index)
8 /RX2 TO 7I47S /Ua0 (_index)
But have no DRO reading ,
without any encoders connected, all 12 green LED's are on.

using extrenal 5 volt power supply, and measure on encoder plugs 5 volts power supply for de encoders.
When i take jumper W1 out ( so no 5 volt power supply, the green leds still are on ( is this comming from the 5i24?,
as i have also a 7i37ta board connected, and can read inputs , but no outputs, have set in my hall the outputs true, and have als inverted the outputs, can see the outputs light up in my hall configuration, but on the output connectors, there's no output.
When measuring 50 pin input plug of the 7i37, there is 5 volt on all even pins .

Do the encoder LEDS on the 7I47S change when you move then scales?
To get the 7I37TA outputs to work you need to set the _is_output attribute for all of the pins connected to 7I37TA outputs
( GPIO 40 through 47 on P3 or GPIO 64 through 71 on P2 )

if the LEDS dont change state, that means that the 7I47 is not reading the inputs
Are you sure the scale outputs are differential?
You can check for valid differential input voltage with a voltmeter by reading across the
RXN and /RXN pins. You should read > 2V or < -2V depending on the state of the encoder
output but you should not read any voltages with lower absolute value than 2V across the pins
When you say you have set the output pins do you mean you have set the is_output attribute?
How did you check the 7I37TA outputs?
