Looking for experts to help install & upgrade CNC Controller Software was created by divakar
We are manufacturing company in Texas, USA that uses 70 different CNC machines that use propitiatory controllers & software. Looking for an expert to help with understanding what we have and proposing controller hardware and software solutions.

You could try the mailing list too, if you get no bites here. There are some people who do LinuxCNC conversions commercially.
Though this sounds like quite a big contract for an individual. Are all the controllers the same, or is each machine a separate problem?

Unless the machines are quite old with obsolete or unreliable controls. I don't think I would recommend gutting functional machines, to swap in Linuxcnc (or any other aftermarket controller for that matter) especially in a large commercial setting. For the #1 biggest reason, you would be burning the technical support bridge with the machine's original manufacturer, and that is a very important feature of most commercial machinery.
The problem of trying to maintain a code base of parts for multiple machines seems trivial by comparison. Often there can be tricks or workarounds that can be used to make the same g-code programs work for multiple machines with slightly different coding requirements. Such as using sub-programs and/or macro calls to issue machine specific preamble or tool change codes. Or using conversion scripts when loading part programs.
