Not able to start LinuxCNC was created by electrophile
I'm a newbie to the world of LinuxCNC and I recently built a 3-axis machine of my own design and I'm trying to configure LinuxCNC to work with the Toshiba 6600 drivers. I stepped through the Stepconf wizard and created a machine profile as well. However, when I try and start LinuxCNC with this machine profile (using the shortcut on the desktop) I get the following error. (as attached). What am I missing?

OK I was able to see the UI now. Apparently no parallel port was defined or it didn't find it in the location that I thought it was located at. I have a PCI card that is the parallel port and when I type in 'lspci -v' at the terminal I see this:
Does this mean the address is 1c00 or d800 or dc00 (I had entered dc00 in the first instance and that cause the error mentioned in the earlier post).
03:00.0 Serial controller: Device 1c00:3250 (rev 10) (prog-if 05 [16850])
Subsystem: Device 1c00:3250
Flags: fast devsel, IRQ 18
I/O ports at d800 [size=256]
Memory at faff8000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=32K]
I/O ports at dc00 [size=4]
Expansion ROM at fbef0000 [disabled] [size=32K]
Capabilities: <access denied>
