viper servo drives was created by keithmech
I am trying to connect to viper 200 servo drives.I have the Mesa 5i25/7i76 combo.
I have the spindle connected and running well,as well as other peripheral motors.
Just plain stumped.The servo motor is just stilling with a locked rotor .
Has anyone integrated a Viper/mesa system?

If the two 5V pins are connected together in the drive you should wire like this:
7I76 +5 -->drive +5V pins
7I76 -STEP --> drive STEP pin
7I76 -DIR --> drive DIR pin
7I76 +5 -->drive +5V pins
7I76 -STEP --> drive STEP pin
7I76 -DIR --> drive DIR pin

Shown as a dotted line. Possibly a jumper?

Andy is correct.I hooked up a drive as per your observations and I have movement.
, Broke out the 1995 Thinkpad ,replaced the bios battery (for hyper-terminal), tuned the drives as per Larken
and now moving forward again.Good thing the drive did not work, as I have spent alot of time studying
Linuxcnc and now getting my head around it.
