Trouble finding files referenced in vismach tutorial

I am new to LinuxCNC and following the vismach tutorial here wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?Vismach

I have reached the section under "get familiar with HAL", just after using halrun and bringing up the 5axisgui vismach 3d representation. I am running a build in place installation.

I am unable to find the file it references in this line:

Now go to your /home/usr/linuxcnc/config/your_machine folder and edit the .hal file. Add at the bottom the line:

loadusr -W 5axisgui

Under the linuxcnc directory there is no folder called 'config', and the folder called 'configs' does not contain any hal file with reference to 5axisgui. Is the tutorial out of date? If so how do I find the file? The previous section works ok with running 5axisgui in halrun, so I am assuming it must be somewhere.
