Hi all
i got my new 7I76E and tried to connect it to an ac servo with 10000 increments per 360 degree.
i have come across a number of issues when setting up
1 im not sure how to go about installing the firmware on card or were to find it?
2 linux cnc only showed me 4 axis not 5 do I need to be worried?
would appreciate any help with this
thank you

1 You do not need to install firmware unless you have a specific daughtercard you need to be supported
2. The number of axis is dependent on LinuxCNC setup/kinematics. The 7I76E supports 5 Axis in hardware but a 5 axis hal/ini file must be used and I'm pretty sure this must be created by hand (pncconf wont make 5 axis configs)

by any chance you would not know how I can setup and wire an ac servo to this board?
it has 2 step 2 direction also has ground but I don't understand the 5V out I don't think the driver I have uses 5V in?
again thanks

I don't know why but click on the picture of the piece of paper and not the button with the "I" on it and it opens for me.

You have to set your IP to 10.10.10.11 as the 7i76e is 10.10.10.10
Then you can ping

Have you applied field power as in manual?
What does the LED's show, have a look in manual for error messages from leds.

1. What IP address is selected on the 7I76E, and did you power cycle the 7I76e after changing the IP address option?
2. What does the command "ip a" print?
3. Do you have link LEDs on? (yellow and green on 7I76E Ethernet Jack)
4. What Mesaflash command did you try?
