Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library was created by clayton cramer
Pretty much every application is suddenly giving me this message. Why? How to fix it?

First thing I tried. There are hundreds of pages. Just took another look. Somehow LC_ALL was set to nothing. set LC_ALL=C solved it. Not sure why this changed, but it probably needs to be .profile.
