Hi guys ;) ,

I´d like to know how it is possible to run a 5 axis machine with 2 Servos on the Y-axis.

If I do slave one axis, I do no longer have my 5th axis.

5i25+7i76

Thanks,
Tim

If you need independent control of the 2 Y axis joints (say for 2 switch gantry homing)
you will need to add some additional step/dir outputs. This can be done by adding
another breakout to the second 5I25 connector, Either a 7I85S or a low cost
Ebay 5Axis breakout will work for this.

I don´t need them to be independent.

If they dont need to be independent, (for 2 switch gantry homing) you can likely just parallel the step/dir signals, perhaps using the opposite polarity for direction on one axis if the joints need to turn in opposite directions
