Stat attributes

I was reading through the documentation (linuxcnc.org/docs/devel/html/config/python-interface.html) to see what the latest update changed and I see in the linuxcnc.stat attributes there is:

interp_state (int) with INTERP_PAUSED as one value
paused (boolean)
task_paused (int)

I don't know if this is new because I didn't cross reference to the previous documentation. What is the difference between these 3 attributes?
