Help with getting linuxcnc to turn on router was created by sandman92k
I run a dewalt router on my cnc and i can not seem to find where to confrig to get the computer to turn on the router automatically
any help I would appreciate

The linuxcnc wizard's will do that for you. Try it. In the output hal file of this, you will find "spindle" if you have Mesa it will be connected to a given mesa i/0 port. If you use parport, it will output problably parport 1, pin 17.
The dewalt router on off switch has to be active. And i think you need to adapt a female power plug for your dewalt router on your cnc portal, wich is connected to the on/off relais of your interface board. For higher power consumption's a secondairy power relais is an option to implement.

You need to connect motion.spindle−on to an output.
