Spindle won't turn off was created by yoshimitsuspeed
I am using a huanyang VFD and spindle with a PWM to 0-10v converter. I had this system set up and working for ages and then in a rush unhooked the VFD without marking my wires. It took me a couple months to come back to hooking everything up. It took me a couple tries to get the converter wired in and I am mostly sure correctly at this point. M3 in the midi starts the spindle. I can change speed with Sxxxx commands but when I punch in M5 the spindle does not stop and 5v is still going to for on the VFD.
One issue that I would like to resolve is that when I restart the computer the spindle runs until I open linuxcnc. A quick search made it sound like this would be hard to fix as the controller powers up automatically. If anyone has any input on fixing this it would be greatly appreciated.
I bring this up now because in the past when I turned the computer on the spindle would start but as soon as I opened up linuxcnc it would stop. But now it does not. When I came back I did do updates to the machine. I don't think I made any changes in the conf wizard or settings between now and when it was working. I'm just looking for input on where to go with the next step of troubleshooting. Does this sound like a config issue? An update issue? Or maybe I fried something in the controller?
This is the module I am using.

Here is a diagram.

The forward power wire comes directly from the main controller though. I don't remember what it is. I could find out if it's important. Some cheap little thing I got with the kit the steppers and drivers and everything came in.
Thanks

Right so what is happening is when I try to stop the spindle like for example punching in m5 the controller is not cutting power to the fwd wire going to the VFD. I haven't changed anything on that circuit from when it was working properly so I am trying to figure out why it is not cutting power when you tell linuxcnc to stop the spindle.

Which output pin is it connected to? What HAL pins are connected to that?
