IS it normal that I have to set G43 in the remap for offsets to work after a remap?
If I do not do this, then the offsets are wrong. When I set it in my python remap, the offsets are correct.

I have seen oword remaps with G43 in it so I guess it is not out of the norm, its just not what I suspected.

I dont find it in the docs anywhere if it is a requirement.

it is better to do so
as you interfear the operator
but also do it in G-code after a Toolchange
Recall the G43 Hx

Yeah, thats what I am doing but I would like to know why it doesnt set G43 correctly if I dont do it in the remap and just do it in Gcode outside the remap.

I asked the question in Machinekit hoping Michael H. will pop on in.

Does the G43 do nothing, or does it "get" the wrong H-number value?

After the tool change, does the system have the correct tool number?
(if the remap has no actual M6 or M61 then the tool number might be be being updated)
