Whenever i try to update my parport 0x378 in.

hi 0x378 is out
loadrt hal_parport cfg="0x378 out"
setp parport.0.reset-time 6000
loadrt stepgen step_type=0,0,0

please check with a terminal if it response as you like
also adress and configuration EPP ECP
dmesg | grep parpo*
[ 18.197034] parport_pc 00:01: reported by Plug and Play ACPI
[ 18.197109] parport0: PC-style at 0x378, irq 7 [PCSPP,TRISTATE,EPP]
[ 18.292110] lp0: using parport0 (interrupt-driven).

I tried this but whenever i change parport from 0 to 0x378 axis shows an error
Also do i need to change step type from 0, 0,0


Cause it showing only direction signals on parellal port steps not shown

The parport address is what it is, you can't change it.

So, first, find out where the parport is, then use that address.

What was wrong with 0 for the parport address?
linux should designate the first found parport as 0.

Also mentioning the actual error message would be helpful.
Sometimes the error is something besides what it seems.
