install linuxcnc was created by getyers
hi all
i am a newbie to cnc. i want to install linuxcnc on my pc, i have just installed mxlinux on one of my hard drives from a usb flash drive and it went with out a hitch.
Now when i try to install linuxcnc from a flash drive to my other hard drive it get to the stage where it decting cdrom and it does not recognise my usb flash drive and it stops. any help please.

hi im in Germany
it is always best to have a USB DVD drive to install
you can make a bootable media out of the ISO File
what cnc are you going to run
you might be going with the new STRETCH
www.linuxcnc.org/testing-stretch-rtpreempt/
use the R12 of _64 or 386 whatever your pc is capable

George, try burning your ISO to the USB thumb drive using win32diskamager on Windows. its the only one that I've been able to create a bootable thumb drive and its never let me dowm
