good price on the part
as tod sugest
1/8 woudt be best for you
1/4 woudt also do but not on the tb6560 available only from tb6600
so it is
8 times the stepper steps per rotation value =8*200 =1600steps/steppermotor Rotation
the pinion got 12 teeth at 0,1571 per teeth a Rotation diameter in Action at 1,8852inch per rotation of the pinion
so it is 1600steps per 1,8852inch = 848.82636steps/inch.

The 0.54 you estimated for the revs/inch is (if you want it exact)
The number of teeth on a 1" pinion (20) divided by the number of teeth on your pinion (12). then that number divided by the distance traveled by 1 rev. of the hypothetical 1", 20 tooth pinion (pi or 3.14159). Approximately = 0.5305.

Sweet thanks a lot guys for the help!! I am trying to get the hang of linuxcnc and when people say that they edit the .ini file I am trying to figure that out also. I am trying to cut something with no THC for now but what do you all think of the post and processor that you all use for no THC?

Inkscape with the included gcodetools will do just fine.
