Feeding and cutting direction was created by beanrider
Hy,
after getting my cnc working with emc2, i've some general questions by using the AXIS frontend:
1.) Can "emc2" divide or mark a cutting line as "outside/inside" to correct the radius of the milling cutter, esp. with holes etc.
2.) Can "emc2" correct the feeding rate of the milling cutter
Or
3.) has this to be done in the "*.ngc"-File directly?
Any tip would be nice..

#1 Read up on Cutter Radius Compensation
www.linuxcnc.org/docview/html//gcode_too...-Radius-Compensation
#2 What do you mean my "correct the feeding rate"?
#3 yes, all moves are programmed in the .ngc files.

Haven't checked on my machine yet, but he means how the feed is not usually correct on Cnc mills when using radius compensation during an arc, as opposed to a straight line,
If he don't mean that I'm asking anyway???.

What i meant, i describe on a little example..
Let's have a 6mm Depron to work with, to get a good result you have to go only 2-3 mm at all, but go the lines 2 times to go through the 6mm. This is all done in the *.ngc file i think. But some guys in the forum did this in an "Compensation_File" (Integrator Manual Page 16), but this seems to be a static method or what's the advantage of this method? So i'm a really bit confused.
But thanks to all answers till now, they helped me to understand emc2 a little bit better.
