spindle drive with 0 to 10 v analog for speed

what is the sutabale mesa card for me?

can i make close loop servo

A 7i77 connected to one of the db-25 FPGA cards (5i25, 6i25, 7i92, 7i80, or ?)

For a Mesa card set, probably a
5I25,6I25 or 7I92M FPGA card
+ a 7I77 or 7I77D Analog servo interface card

The FPGA card options are:

5I25 PCI host interface
6I25 PCIE host interface
7I92 Ethernet host interface

The analog servo interface options are:
7I77 6 Axis analog servo interface sourcing outputs
7I77D 6 Axis analog servo interface sinking outputs

Any of these combinations will provide
6 analog +-10V outputs
6 isolated switches for drive enable
32 12/24V inputs
16 12/24V outputs ~300 mA
Serial and parallel expansion capability

These drives have "position signal output" on the lower right of the drawing, that is a copy of the encoder signals. You can input this to your motion interface to have the loop closed at the LinuxCNC computer.

You could also consider the Pico-systems cards, or General Mechatronics.

The image you provided (twice) show position control mode, is there a similar diagram for velocity control mode?

If you want step/dir mode, do you still want to use the encoder feedback?
