Hello,
I am setting up a PC with Linuxcnc Preempt_rt for a 7i92 and with an usb wifi dongle to reach the web.
Going to the web, I am thinking of firewall,
Is there any firewall install by default on Preempt_rt ?
With a firewall running permanently, is there any risk for RT ?
I use ufw on an Ubuntu server with success, so thinking to install it.
Thanks for help.

You can use a firewall, just set it properly to allow access to the Mesa 7i92.
If you are not on a public IP, you do not really need it.

You probably already have it on your linuxbox. look-up ip tables.
do a iptables -L this will list your firewall rules.
