Hi guys,

I want to display in gmoccapy an UI Widget that will display the spindle load.
My VFD is a delta, with a resolver feedback from the motor.
Any idea on how to provide that information to linuxcnc? Do I need to buy any other extension board to my Mesa 7i76e in order to do this?

Thx,
Vasi

The C2000 can be programmed to output RMS current on its AFM1 or AFM2 analog
outputs, you could read this on one of the 7I76Es analog inputs.

I think I am already using two analog inputs for feed & spindle override encoders.
Do I need to buy an extra card for the mesa board so that I can link the incremental encoders along with other analog inputs?
I also thought about getting the same information from the servo drives so that I can display the load per axis.

The MPG encoder inputs on the 7I76E are on different pins that the 4 analog inputs
If you need additional encoder inputs, a 7I89, 7I85, or 7I85S can be used

The 7I89 seems interesting? Can I connect this to Mesa 7i76e?
I have two 7i76e, one for my lathe, one for my mill, and I was thinking to add linear scales on Z and X axis and close the motion loop with linear encoders, and use the linuxcnc as a DRO for those linear scales.
What would be the recommended extension board for that?

Yes, you can connect a 7I89 (or even 2) to a 7I76E

My servo drivers for the axis are Adtech QS7
www.pcomponentes.com.ar/PDF/AdtechServoDriver.pdf
These are exposing a serial RS485. Can I use the Mesa 7I89 to somehow read the load of the axis motors? I want to have a section similar to what haas controllers have, where they display the spindle & axis load.

Can someone tell me how to find the cable that would connect the Mesa 7i85 board to the Mesa 7i76e?
Is there in the mesa store, I can't seem to find it.
