Proma THC 150 Issues? was created by TexasCNC
I finally got plasmac v2.9 working thanks to phillc54 I am trying to see if something is wrong with the Proma I have I know I verified the connections to BOB and all but when its making a cut and usually more towards the end of the job the arc cuts out and errors out that the float switch has been activated. The first issue I was having was when getting my voltage to see what I was getting with doing test line is that I would set the voltage to 94V and when I would go do job the voltage would read way higher voltages 100 + volts never would it stay at 92-96V. Then I checked all settings on the proma and I kept them at default or factory settings. On some jobs I would get a good cut with but on the next one it would cut and the last cut of the job the torch would slowly move up away from material to where the nozzle was about 1.5 inch away and it wouldn't cut the material I would start from the line that would have issues with and do the same I verified the gcode and looks good. I would put it on test mode and verified through HAL config on linuxcnc and watched the the ports were responding and also through the main display I would see the LED light up for arc ok up and down. Now the question would be do you all think I have the up and down signals backwards where its wants to move down to be within the voltage I set and its actually moving away. How do i check the settings on the THC t make sure they are good or do I need to invert the pins for up and down signals?

we cut the Proma THC
with
112V
+-4V tolerance at 3mm Sheet
as flat sheets 0,2s corretiontime

Ending up finding out that the pins on BOB ( it’s a cheap Chinese BOB) were solder backwards as I traced my wiring and check continuity test to make sure I was correct and found out that the up down pins were backwards I switched them and it worked perfect! And I had checked when I had put the Proma on test mode I would see the led light up on board and on axis but never looked to see when up signal from Proma was up signal on axis SMH for that one but I got my daughter to tell me when the LED would light up on the “show Hal configuration” tab for up signal and compared it to Proma. But now everything works good.
And I will try those settings thanks for info.
