It's the ini file regardless of hardware you are using.
If you spelled it correctly and putting it in the right place then it will work.

Can you try
open_file=""
I can not recall exactly what i did, but i know i did remove that.
Or just delete axis.ngc from where it is loading it.

I add my company logo, so everytime my customers open linuxcnc, they see my logo....

I do the same thing, that is why it baffles me it is not working for him !
I put "cnc by toma" since i do not have a logo. Yet!

It was missing the quotation marks. Tommy below added those. I placed it in the display section at the bottom as the last comment.

You were right. The spelling was in correct. The placement in my .ini file is odd, too. There are many comments regarding the files associated with Display.

The quotations were the key. Thank you. I placed it in the bottom of the DISPLAY section.
