So I am very new to programming CNC machines and I have run into an issue. I have an ASUS Chromebook and as you probably know, it is barely compatible with anything. I have downloaded Linux and I am trying to figure out a way to actually download software to program something. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a FREE software that is compatible with Chromebook.

I have no idea what hardware is inside a Chromebook, i just know it was very low spec as it was supposed to run only google chrome on it.
