dual motor gantry issues, hal fix...... was created by bevins
I am having an issue with two different type of switches on the dual motor gantry and it is causing issues with auto squaring gantry.
One is prox and other is mechanical. The mechanical switch is releasing at a different place and it is racking a very rigid gantry.
I would like to setup machine as XYZ machine instead of XYYZ. I guess stepgen.0 needs to send same output to stepgen.1 so It will act like an XYZ machine.
IS there examples of how to hook this up in hal?

You could just wire both drive inputs to the same output, and have only 1 switch for homing. Very simple and very reliable up to the point one of the drives craps out.

Just take it slow the first time you power it on and move the gantry, do just a very short jog and check if both motors are moving in the same direction.
