Alas we've reached the end of python 2's life. It was a good language, but we must go on anyways.
Is there work in progress for python 3 on linuxcnc? I've seen a few threads on github but it seems that many of them are dead ends.
Anyone have thoughts on this?

There has been work:
github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc/issues/403
Unfortunately in linuxcnc projects tend to be done on the side, in a vacuum, with multiple independent authors.
As for python 3 eventuality it will be updated but python 2 is still available.
