MAX_LINEAR_VELOCITY is the maximum speed the Machine can travel, meaning the combination of speeds of 2 or more axis moving at the same time, example:
When jogging or moving X and Y at the same time, the head is moving diagonally at a faster speed than any one of it's axis.
SCALE should be the steps needed to move an axis 1 inch, so the motor does 200 steps per rotation, if that motor is directly mounted to a ball screw with a pitch of 5mm, that gives us 40 steps per mm. You will have to also factor in microstepping and/or reduction, or belt teeth on the driving pulley, or the rack/pinion pitch. Sorry i can not be more helpful about this but i never use calculators or any kind of help with the scale as i calculate all in my head very quickly, or when i have unknowns i just enter something and then use the Calibration menu to do the fine tuning.

Yes and yes.So if I want to increase my top end feed rate and cutting speed I would just increase max_velocity right? Guessing Axis 0 is X, 1 is Y and 2 is Z?

Gotcha thank you! Well I think for what I need I will just increase the max_velocity gradually and find a good sweet spot. What you are talking about seems like more than I need/understand lol. I Greatly appreciate your help!

Do you have a spare input on the parallel port? (Assuming you are using the parallel port)
