Homming In Automatic Mode ?

i am looking for home operation done when machine in auto mode or mdi mode

tried halui.joint.N.home whem in mdi or auto mode it show error machine not in manual mode

(G28 and G30 not useful to me i need home like manual mode during automode)

please make comment

Do need to actually home the machine or just move to home?

If you need to actually home in Auto mode, can you explain why?

I am using Spindle and C axis on same motor (same drive servo)
so when i switch from turning(c axis) to milling(turning) i reset position count of spindle feedback encoder

this process i can do with m code in auto program

but when i reset position count of servo motor encode i need to find zero position of c axis
and for that i can do in manual mode but if i want to find c axis actual home i want to run home sequence in auto mode

( i try to explain my requirement please ask if you not understand )
