Where are you located?sounds like both the 7I77 and 5I25 should returned for evaluation

Since you lost both serial interfaces at the same time it does sound like a 5I25 problem.
If you happen to have the right cable, a quick test would be to try the other 5I25 port (P2)

Mmm, I was afraid that might be the case. In Australia unfortunately so it's not going to be a quick turn around. Cant be helped though.

It's not great effort to make a DB25/dsub adapter or complete cable. I'll grab some 25pin ribbon cable and a few punch plugs when I'm out.

Oh and I'll post up my wiring diagram/pictures of the setup too. I'm not ruling out some dumb mistake in my wiring that's damaged something.
I'd still like to test another PC but it might take a while to pick one up. I grabbed a couple off a friend but one wouldn't boot with the 5i25 installed and the other didn't have a PCI slot, just PCIe. Duh. PCI slots are starting to phase out it seems.
