Want to know what I need to do a setup for a linuxcnc oxy-fuel cutting machine.

Have one torch here, can't find any documentation.

What are the requirements I need?
I was looking to use the PlasmaC userguide but there are differences between them in the process before cutting.

Acetylene, oxygen, some pipes.
That would be the short answer, the long one:
A lot of reading !
Butane or Propane gas ( one of them, do not know which) can also be used instead of acetylene as it is cheaper, but it cuts slower as it can not reach high temperatures as Acetylene.
Preheating is a must on thick material, machine torches always have 3 pipes going to them, 2 for oxygen, one of them used for preheat and the other for actual cutting.
That is about where my knowledge of oxy cutting ends, done about 4 cuts with it, one was a disaster as i did not know about preheating so the part came out all wonky. :)

LPG (liquid petroleum gas) require different cutting tips ( type 44) compared to acetylene (type 40 tip) and also some require different a machine blow pipe.

Quality of cut is much more dependent on the tip bore condition,

Cutting speed of oxy fuel cutting is about halve of Plasma .

Preheat is more of a problem with lpg on thicker plate ,also piercing plate requires longer preheat for lpg.

I have cut 100 mm with oxy fuel blow pipes on profile cutting machines.

I believe that oxy fuel is only now needed for heavy steel plate.

cheers john
