I have a CNC Lathe with main spindle FANUC A06B-0844 (on picture black is original from my spindle and yellow sticker is from same type but with more details)

The problem is how to drive this spindle, I have buy an Yaskawa A1000 drive with 5.5/7.5kw but am not able to start this spindle, it turn one or two rotations and come in error as overloaded drive.

Now have ordered one Inverter of 15/18kw 33/39A to try if it can drive it.

Did someone have experience or some suggestion what is good drive / Inverter to drive this spindle.

Did you try to set the spin up time to at least 5 or 10 seconds on the VFD ?
And VFD's have current limiting that can be set, so check that also, it might be set to low.

I have changed some parameters like output current, voltage and have set acceleration to 10 sec but need later to check some other parameters, YASKAWA A1000 is not simple for setting and need more time to read manuals...

Have measured resistance on all 3 motor winding and they are very low about 0.3Ω to 0.5Ω
