I want to be able to actually move the motors using the arrow directional keys on the key board. But when in Linux CNC and upon pressed a direction a path line showed up but no motors move. I already configured and tested the motors so they work

I’m not sure how to add lines to the Hal files. And I tried looking for the presets button and could find it.

Yeah I loaded the right machine I believe. all the things you listed are set. When configuring the motors and testing them there they move. And as in move I mean with the program. At no point can I move the motors with my hands

-_- I figured it out. But I do have another question now. So like I said I’m using two motors for the y axis. When I move the motors using the arrow keys and stimulate the y axis only one motor moves. Why is that?

slaved motors have to be homed by putting HOME_ SEQUENCE= - some number ie -1 and the both have to be the same number note the minus sign. This make the motors in sync.
