Axis & NCAM Display Size was created by Barry
I have NCAM embedded in Axis loaded on 2 computers running Debian Stretch. Both computers are identical and the displays connected to the computers are identical. On one computer the Axis and NCAM window automatically scales to fit on the screen. On the 2nd computer the Axis and NCAM window does not scale to fit the screen so NCAM overflows to the right and I have to slide the window over to see NCAM (ref. the attachment). Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Thank you in advance,
Barry

Is it possible you have a file named .axisrc in your home directory that attempts to set the size of Axis.
linuxcnc.org/docs/html/gui/axis.html#_axisrc

Also check the resolution of the monitors, they might be the same and still not support the same resolution.

I did not start with an .axisrc file, but I did create one to try and solve the problem, however this did not work. the .axisrc file only modified the size of the "Axis Panel" but not the "NCAM panel", nor did it automatically scale the total window size to fit the computer display.
In other words: The Total Window Size = Panel 1 (Linuxcnc Axis on the left) + Panel 2 (NCAM on the right). .axisrc only modified the size of Panel 1.
Also the total window size (panel 1 + panel 2) is larger than the total computer display screen as shown in the initial attachment. Panel 1 + Panel 2 should auto-scale to fit the computer display screen. The auto scale works on 1 of my computers but not on the 2nd computer. When I was editing files to install NCam maybe I hit a wrong key stroke but I don't know where to look to correct it to get the auto scaling to work again correctly.
Thank you,
Barry

I checked and everything is identical. Resolution settings are identical, monitor model numbers are identical and graphics cards are identical.

Yup you nailed it! Thank you very much for taking time to help me with this!
After re-checking the resolution of the monitors, the two monitors appeared to be the same, but they did not support the same resolution. I swapped out the monitor having the issue and after setting the resolution it solved the problem. Both the Axis pane and the NCAM pane appear in one view on the display without having to slide the window around to see everything.
Thank you again. You saved me a lot of time and frustration. I really do appreciate it.
Have a great day,
Barry
