7i76e Connection refused LinuxCNC 2.8 was created by Mtndrew77
My old CNC computer had a motherboard failure so I recently upgraded to LinucCNC 2.8. Now I'm having connections issues with my new computer and 7i76e Mesa. Attached is The Linuxcnc.report. Has anyone else had a similar issue?

Your attachment failed to attach.
Could you give a bit more info regarding your machine & os ?
Can you describe the issue with a bit more detail.
Have you searched the forum, and there plenty of topics, with issues similar to yours ?
How have you setup your NIC for your MESA card ?

Okay the file should be attached now. The file extension out of linuxcnc is .report and needed to be renamed .txt.
The Mesa card is setup with address 192.168.1.121 and I am able to ping it and get a response. I'm running on a Asus Chromebox with LinuxCNC 2.8 buster installed from the ISO image from the download section. Below is the error I'm getting and the file should attach this time
Debug file information:
Note: Using POSIX realtime
iptables: Bad rule (does a matching rule exist in that chain?).
hm2_eth: rtapi_app_main: Connection refused (-111)
./BRIDGEPORT.hal:9: waitpid failed /usr/bin/rtapi_app hm2_eth
./BRIDGEPORT.hal:9: /usr/bin/rtapi_app exited without becoming ready
./BRIDGEPORT.hal:9: insmod for hm2_eth failed, returned -1

You have your host IP address set to the 7I76E's address
(try say 192.168.1.100)
