I setup the motors using the tuning tool in pncconf and I was moving 1 inch, 2 inches, 3 inches, and so on. If i told that joint to move 1 inch it moved 1 inch, if i told it to move 2 inches it moved 2 inches i adjusted the scaling until it was correct in the tuning tool in pncconf. Why when i go to use Linuxcnc is it any different if i already had the motors tuned in pncconf? It moves roughly 10 inches in linuxcnc when i tell it to move 1 inch, using the same setup from pncconf. Am i missing something?

So yes with a scale of 1620 and steplength/step spaces of 5000/5000
60 IPs is about the limit (100 KHz)
If you want 200 IPS, that's 324 KHz so about 1500/1500 max steplength/stepspace

I'm not sure what pncconf does with its calibration numbers but it may expect you to enter the
value you determine into the scale field

I did change the scale value myself and took pictures when i did the tuning. These values all remained the same when they came over Linuxcnc.

At this point I would not use pncconf anymore and just use linuxCNCs
calibrate menu (and its save to file option) or hand editing the ini file. That should allow you to finalize the scale setting, step timings and joint velocity and acceleration values (the latter 2 require editing the ini file)

Will i have the same issue when i go over to PlasmaC?, i haven't wanted to go through the file conversion as i have seen on here until i get it right in Linuxcnc. Sorry for all the dumb questions im just frustrated with this software the Mesa card seems great and seems to just do what you tell it to. I am sure i will need help getting the Mesa THC card to work right also. Thanks.

I don't think PlasmaC will mess with any of your scaling/timing numbers
so once those are set you should be OK.

What did you do to actually fix the issue? Just the Home Sequence number or something else?
