How to get search to return topics not every post? was created by manac
Just want a list of topics that have the item searched for.
Right now I get every post, way too much clutter.

Actually tommy did give you sound advice as it is exactly what I do. Unfortunately you seem to have taken the example the wrong way.
Fact is, the search functionality in this forum leaves a fair bit to be desired for so it's often more effective to use your favourite search engine.
