It's been about a year or more since I logged into Debian and require some refreshing.
Recently installed Debian 10 preempt-rt onto USB from DVD ISO. Entered username and password and opened desktop with wallpaper. Explored File Manager, Application Finder, LinuxCNC and Firefox awhile. Shutdown when done. Logged back onto Debian desktop and wallpaper and icon gone and gray screen now. Why gray screen and how to get wallpaper and icon back?
Also, when LinuxCNC, Sample Configurations, sim, axis or lathe and opening a sample program some of them don't have a percentile at end of program. File dialog box Edit is shaded out and inaccessible yet. Can Edit not be shaded out and how? Is an application to open the program with and save? How to save edited file?
