Encoder connection error with mesa 7i95 was created by suraj9735
Dear Forum,
I created a pncconf file and it is working if I keep no. of encoder is zero. Further I changed the configuration with one encoder connection and got the error.
Attached error screenshot and configured file.

Edit the hal file with a text editor, omit the lines containing stepgen----fb in them as there are two lines with feedback set in hal.
That is if you want to use the encoders.

I omited the line but getting another error related with watchdog.
I am using encoder only in Z axis, X and Y are connected with steeper motor without encoder. I just omit the line for Z axis only. Do I need to omit for all?
If possible please edit the file and send back.
Thanks.

Here I edited correctly and now able to launch linuxcnc. But getting watchdog and joint 2 following error during jogging/MDI. When I used same file without commenting the encoder line in .hal file, I am able to jog/MDI. Please help.
Attached the file and error screenshot.

If the watchdog bites, you have real time issues on the host
Did you run a latency test?
Something like
latency-histogram --nobase --sbinsize 1000
