Having previously used 7i77 Mesa cards on a number of projects, I purchase a7i76e to use on a gantry router, I cannot get any of the inputs to read, W1 is in the left hand position. It also does not output any voltage to the outputs. There appears to be comms to the card as Axis happily boots. 5v is supplied to P3. 24v is supplied to TB1 pin 1+ and Pin 8-

Any help would be appreciated
Brian

The 7I76E field I/O is basically identical to the 7I77s field I/O

Have you use the "watch" function to look at the input pin status?

If you have 24V power you need to connect the field inputs to +24V to read high

I am taking the input to +24V. I was using Hal Meter to monitor the input. Nothing shows there. When I select Flood coolant, Hal meter shows the output as True but the card does not output 24V at that output. Can it be a firmware issue.

That cannot really be a firmware issue
If you start linuxCNC from the command line, are there any errors reported?

Many thanks for your assistance, I managed to mix up TB 5 and TB 6. W8 was missing from my board.
