Prime Weld Cut 60 THC wiring was created by kevpsk8
I am new to the CNC world and am trying to build my first table. I have a Mesa 7I96 board with the Mesa THCad-10. My plasma cutter is a Primeweld Cut 60 and has the option for 1/16th or 1/50th raw arc divided voltage. I am unsure which voltage will work best the the THCad-10. I do not have the machine fully wired and complete to test anything but I would like to be able to wire my cnc port into the correct terminals.

50:1 in my opinion
16:1 is too low a ratio for a thcad10

I wired to 1:50 and I am getting -74 volts on the plasmac display. The THC does not seem to be working and goes into the VAD setting when cutting.

You have an encoder scale wrong in hal to get -ve values
check the encode.n.velocity pin in halshow to see if its negative. Change the sign of your scale value to get it counting up.

I entered the THCAD config in the HAL file per the plasmac user guide
setp hm2_7i96.0.encoder.00.scale -1
setp hm2_7i96.0.encoder.00.filter 1
setp hm2_7i96.0.encoder.00.counter-mode 1
This made it so plasmac was sensing the arc voltage and with using the THCAD calculator values the voltage would hover around 0. When I tried a test cut the value would go down to -4. Rod I am unsure on where to look for the value you are speaking about.
Thank you
