Starting from a line - 3D printing was created by AlessandroT
Hello linuxcnc community,
I encountered a problem when I resume a print from a line. Generally, the slicers Softwares sets the A-axis coordinate in an absolute mode and when we will start from a line after an interrupted print we have to fight against the A-axis absolute value. If we use a G92 xxxA, that fit the value of that interrupted line, doesn't seem to work as aspected and the extruder coordinate increase rapidly until some undefined value ( apparently). We tried to solve switching the extruder from position to velocity mode, but the issue is still the same.
Do you have any advice or solution, please?
Thanks in advance
Best regards.

One possibility is to "touch-off" the extruder position to that of the line above your starting line. You can do this with a GUI in many cases, or by using A G10 command in the MDI.
