Howto select line or EMI filter? was created by chris@cnc
I am looking for line or EMI filter. The choice is so huge. On what basis I choose this filter.
My machine is 230V, 1 frequency converter 2.2KW spindle, 3 frequency converters with 400W Z, Z + A axis, 80V 1.5KW power supply for X, Y, Y servo motor and 24V 120W power supply.
Maybe someone can give me hint or show me good choice. And is it better for each inverter a small one or use a large one after main switch?

On the basis of what i can find ! Not easy to source them here, at all.
Add all the power of everything with at least 30% added for loses, then add 50% on the total.
That should be good.
Or check everything for the max rated current, add those together then add 50% on top.
