Good day
Doing a retrofit on a CinCom L16 lathe, wondering if someone could point me to a sample config file on a gang type lathe ?
Thank you all
Peter

How many slides does it have? How are you planning to control them? (eg, using X,Y,U,V,W or linked to tool-change logic?)

good morning Andy.
The lathe came as basic as they come, 1 slide, no sub spindle , no c-axis
The setup is the following
yaskawa servos on all axis ( in torque mode preferred )
spindle has a induction motor driven with a Yaskawa VFD , encoder connected to the spindle ,vertical: 5 tools on the slide , horizontal : 3 drills.
To tell you the truth , 1st time a ATC lathe retrofit, 1st time swiss lathe, so I'm in the deep end of the pool without no flippers.. any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you Andy.

Gang tooling _should_ be pretty easy as LinuxCNC supports tool offsets in all axes.
So, it shiouldn't take any real fiddling to get it to work, other than the g-code needing to be a bit careful about the tool disengage and re-engage moves.
