1st launch of linuxcnc was created by PhilipME
After few months of sourcing a desktop and three parallel cards. The first 2 did not work.
Any how to make long story short, I was able to establish communications between the equipment (only x-axis lose motor)
I still getting message when issuing lspci -vv command "access denied" but even with this message I established communication.
my question :
I only can jog the X axis when I click the spindle motor start button.
This spindle motor start button (I have no spindle motor connected yet) also starts the 48 power supply fan. (very weird) When I click the spindle off button the power supply fan stop running. and I am unable to jog the stepper motor.
the only thing comes to mind is some ground wires missed up but not sure where to look.
Please see the video
Many thanks

it looks like that the signals coming out from the bob to the stepper motor which are controlled by linuxcnc are causing the power supply current to go to zero which in turn shuts the power supply fan off(no need to cool the power supply since the load is zero)
this current coming from the power supply to the stepper get activated to make the stepper motor at the holding torque mode only occurs when I click the spindle start. while this part requires me to map all the pins to understand and also read the hal files but at least I understand now that the linuxcnc is not controlling the power supply fan but rather controlling the current going to the stepper motors.
looks like lots of patience is required and lots of reading behind me
thanks

You have spindle enable pin going to drive enable pin on the port.
Amplifier enable pin should be going to drive enable pin.

yes correct
I re-started stepconf wizard and re-assigned pin 14 which was routed to the spindle.
Now everything seems fine so far
Some times very small hint saves me lots of work.
Many thanks
